Raving Readers

Raving Readers

Research has proven that regular reading helps children to make progress in ALL areas of the curriculum.

Each class has a ‘Raving Readers’ chart in the classroom. Each time a child reads their school book or Whole School Guided Reading text (at the weekend) at home they get to move their name along the chart. All reading MUST be recorded in planners (including page numbers) and signed by an adult; these are checked daily. We are awarding a maximum of one move per day. Our school expectation is that children read at home at least 5 times per week.
