The School Vision

Our vision at Gargrave Primary School is that “every child counts; every child contributes”. To achieve this we aim that:-

  • We will ensure that every individual's learning will be challenging and enjoyable,
  • We will deliver the highest quality teaching and learning,
  • Staff, parents and pupils will collaborate to maximise individual learning,
  • We will provide an environment and curriculum which are conducive to healthy minds and bodies,
  • We will be a respected part of the community where every child counts and every child contributes,
  • We actively encourage and promote British values,
  • Our Christian ethos will encourage and challenge the social, moral, spiritual and cultural development of all individuals within the local and global context.

In consultation with Staff, Governors and parents we have developed a set of core values that underpin and are an integral part of school life. To help our pupils to remember them we have devised the following format:

Respect
Enjoy
Safe
Politeness
Equality
Confidence
Trust
Forgiveness
United
Learning

These principles form the heart of our School and they constitute the basis of our Friday celebration assemblies where children from each year group whose behaviour has exemplified these values are chosen and presented with a white ribbon representing our school 's ethos.
